Azerbaijan's defense ministry has confirmed that it launched overnight air-strikes targeting the Nagorno-Karabakh region. This comes after Armenia said it was willing to work with Russia, the United States, and France on a ceasefire deal to end nearly a week of fighting with Azerbaijan. Both sides have been locked in a territorial dispute over the Karabakh region since the break-up of the Soviet Union in the 1990s. Sunday's flare-up has led to the biggest escalation in years, leaving dozens of casualties on both sides including civilians.
