Updated 2020.10.03 19:58 GMT+8

Qiantang River in east China's Zhejiang Province has a trumpet-shaped river mouth into the East China Sea. This unique shape created the largest tidal bore in the world and each year tens of thousands of spectacle chasers come to see it.

The highest waves of the Qiantang tidal bore are expected to be seen on the eighteenth day of the eighth lunar month, which falls on October 4 this year. Join CGTN in east China's Haining City to watch this rare natural phenomenon.
