The Flaming Mountain in Turpan, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, does not offer a grassland but a canyon nearby is a major draw for visitors with a sweet tooth – the Grape Valley. It is only 8 kilometers long from north to south, but its annual output is often more than 10 million kilograms. Its lively cultural events are a nice way to round off the visit.
