Exploring Jianhu Lake at Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, SW China
Jianhu Lake, meaning "sword lake," is a plateau lake and wetland in southwest China's Yunnan Province. It is located in Jianchuan County of Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture. Although its name could be literally translated to "sword lake," the lake is in the shape of a crescent. It is on one of the major migration routes for migratory birds in China.
