Paris bars to close as COVID-19 alert is raised to max level

Paris has been placed on maximum alert to fight against COVID-19, police chief Didier Lallement said on Monday.

New restrictions will be applied in the city and its inner suburbs for a period of 15 days.

Bars could close for two weeks and restaurants will have to follow new sanitary protocols.
