Wuhan Sports Center, formerly a coronavirus temporary hospital, packed with thousands of spectators

Wuhan Sports Center, which was converted into a 1,100-bed temporary hospital for COVID-19 patients with mild symptoms, held its first game on Sunday night since life in the city returned to normalcy.

As many as 7,500 basketball fans crowded Wuhan Sports Center to watch a YAO Foundation charity game which was led by the country's iconic basketball legend Yao Ming.

The stadium was converted into a temporary hospital with more than 1,000 beds for COVID-19 patients in early February.
