Kyrgyzstan's Parliamentary election provoked violent protests in Bishkek

Elections to the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic were held on October 4, but the final result was questioned nationwide. Soon, protests erupted and turned into turmoil as protesters broke into government and security headquarters early on Tuesday, and freed a former president from custody, local news websites said.

The Kyrgyz Central Commission has declared the results of Sunday's parliamentary election void, officials announced on Tuesday.
