Turpan is known for its sweet grapes and the Grape Valley.

Grape Valley is located in the northeastern part of Turpan City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, some 10 kilometers away from Turpan. It is a valley to the west of the Flaming Mountain eight kilometers long, and 0.6-two kilometers wide.

While the west side of the valley faces cliffs, a forest of intertwined grapevines can be found inside the valley. Around the grape gardens are towering poplar trees interspersed with flowers.
