Qiu, who's in her early 50s, began studying for the exam to help a student living in her dorm. The student had just missed passing the exam by one score, and was upset when she spoke to Qiu.

"Don't give up. Let's study together and take the exam together next year," said Qiu who promised to help her do it together.

After that, she began taking online classes. After studying for six months, she successfully passed the exam, which was a surprising event in the school.

"She is awesome. I realize the power of persistence is infinite," a student commented on the internet.

Qiu was excited her hard work has made a successful example to the others. Her intention was to show college students that they should never give up and they should be determined to pursue the dream. Degrees, educations and personal incomes can never stop anyone from achieving the goal.

Even though Qiu has been out of school for years, she has not stopped learning. She received an Associate Degree in the Business Management this year.
