India's total number of confirmed cases reached 6,835,655 and the death toll rose to 105,526 on Thursday as 78,524 new cases were detected and 971 patients died during the past 24 hours. More than 83 million tests had been conducted across the country out of which nearly 1.2 million tests were conducted on Wednesday alone.
Columbia recorded 7,875 new cases with 163 more deaths on the past 24 hours, bringing total number of confirmed cases to 877,682 and death toll to 27,180. The country's health minister said Wednesday that the vaccine that Colombia may acquire through the COVAX, a global initiative aimed at ensuring COVID-19 vaccine availability, will also be applied to people who have had the disease.

The country is under quarantine by a presidential decree from March 20 to October 11 to curb the spread of the pandemic, with only industrial and business activities permitted.
Bulgaria confirmed a daily record of 437 new cases on Thursday, as the country grapples with a rising number of infections. The country now has 22,743 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 873 deaths. Chief health inspector has said new restrictions, such as closing restaurants may be imposed if the confirmed cases continue to rise, but ruled out a full lockdown.
Australia's tally surpassed 27,000 and death toll exceeds 900 as of Wednesday. The country's most populous state, New South Wales, reported its biggest one-day rise in more than a month on Thursday as a growing cluster threatens to slow the easing of restrictions.
