China, UAE to deepen post-pandemic cooperation

Senior Chinese diplomat Yang Jiechi said on Saturday that China will deepen cooperation in various fields with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to advance the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

During his Saturday meeting with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Yang, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), said that China always sees the UAE as priority in terms of diplomatic relations. 

Yang is currently on a five-day trip. The UAE is the second country that Yang visited. He has visited Sri Lanka on Friday and will be visiting Algeria and Serbia next. 

Yang said that China will consolidate the mutual support and political trust with the UAE, strengthen their Belt and Road cooperation as well as joint efforts in the field of anti-COVID-19 and public health.  

In addition, the Chinese diplomat said that China will adhere to multilateralism and continue to cooperate with developing countries that include the UAE.

The crown prince said that the UAE is proud of the friendly relations between China and the UAE, adding that the fruitful cooperation in COVID-19 vaccine between the two countries have showed the high-level mutual trust between them.

Mohammed added that the country is willing to deepen practical cooperation with China in areas that include transportation, productivity, high-tech, public health and so on.
