The World Health Organization (WHO) says over 170 countries and regions including China have joined the COVAX global COVID-19 vaccine initiative. Speaking at a briefing in Geneva, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said the aim of COVAX is to ensure that two billion doses are manufactured and distributed equitably by the end of 2021.
