The United Nations' World Food Programme (WFP) won the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize for its efforts to combat hunger and food insecurity around the globe. Spokesperson of WFP, Tomson Phiri, was at a news briefing in Geneva when he received the news. "I'll just say, this is a proud moment, the nomination itself was enough but to then go on and be named the Nobel Peace Prize winner is nothing short of a feat,'' Phiri said.
