Updated 2020.10.11 12:16 GMT+8

Chinese paleontologists announced the discovery of dinosaur footprints in Tongjiang County, which were first found by a five-year-old boy named Yang Zherui. Locals had seen the footprints for a long time, but they used to call them "chicken footprints."

Experts identified the footprints as the first found trace of small- and medium-sized carnivorous dinosaurs dating back to the Cretaceous Period in the northern Sichuan Basin.
