In pictures: Qingdao residents wait in line for COVID-19 testing

According to the Qingdao health commission, nearly 278,000 samples have been collected for virus testing so far. 

City-wide testing was launched on Sunday night and is expected to be completed within five days.

Qingdao first reported three asymptomatic cases on Sunday. Since then, 132 close contacts have been traced, with nine testing positive as of noon Monday.

Among the 12 who tested positive, six were confirmed infections while the rest are currently asymptomatic cases.
