Iran reports highest single-day COVID-19 death toll since outbreak

Iran on Sunday reported 251 deaths from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, the highest single-day death toll since the virus outbreak began in the country. The death toll in the country has risen to 28,544.

The Iraqi Health Ministry reported 2,206 new cases, bringing cumulative nationwide infections to 402,330. So far, 406,389 people have recovered from the disease and have been discharged from the hospital. Meanwhile, 4,482 people remain in intensive care units.
