Twitter flags Trump's tweet claiming he's 'immune' as 'misleading'

Twitter has flagged a tweet from U.S. President Donald Trump claiming that he's immune to the novel coronavirus as "misleading" and containing "potentially harmful information related to COVID-19."

However, the social media platform did not remove the tweet as it determined "it may be in the public's interest for the tweet to remain accessible."

Trump's tweet on Sunday that triggered Twitter's warning read: "A total and complete sign off from White House Doctors yesterday. That means I can't get it (immune), and can't give it. Very nice to know!!!"

Twitter said that the president's post "violated the Twitter Rules about spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19."
