Chinese mainland reports 6 local cases in Shandong in latest outbreak

China's health authority said Tuesday that it had received reports of 13 new COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland Monday – seven from overseas and six locally transmitted. 

All of the locally transmitted cases were reported in east China's Shandong Province, the National Health Commission said in its daily report.

No deaths related to the disease were reported Monday.

Fifteen COVID-19 patients were newly discharged from hospitals after recovering, the commission said.

The total confirmed infections in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region are as follows:

Hong Kong: 5,193 (4,921 recoveries, 105 deaths)

Macao: 46 (46 recoveries)

Taiwan: 529 (489 recoveries, 7 deaths)
