Hong Kong reports eight new COVID-19 cases
China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region reported eight new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, taking the tally to 5,202, including one suspected case, according to its Center for Health Protection (CHP).
Half of the new cases are locally transmitted and among which, two have unknown sources.
On Tuesday, HKSAR government announced that the existing social distancing measures due to expire on Thursday, including mandatory mask-wearing in public places, group gatherings of no more than four persons, will be extended for another seven days.
Food businesses, fitness centers, sports premises, bath-houses and places of public entertainment have also been allowed to open if they meet epidemic prevention requirements.
