Nico Hansen, a retired police officer from Luxembourg, first came to China in 2015 for travel, then he became a volunteer to help with poverty alleviation in China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in 2018. Hansen talked about the improvements in people's livelihoods he has witnessed and his feelings as a volunteer over the last two years.
