Over 225,000 who traveled from Qingdao test negative for COVID-19 in Shandong Province

A total of 225,345 people who traveled from Qingdao City to other cities in east China's Shandong Province since September 23 have tested negative for COVID-19, the provincial health authority said on Tuesday.

Earlier, Qingdao officials said they had collected over 3 million samples in a city-wide nucleic acid testing scheme and none had tested positive except the reported cases. 

Qingdao reported six new local cases and six asymptomatic cases over the weekend, all linked to the Qingdao Chest Hospital, which has been treating COVID-19 cases arriving from overseas.
