South Korea reports new COVID-19 cluster in Busan 

More than 50 people tested positive following a fresh cluster of COVID-19 infections linked to a nursing hospital in South Korea's southeastern port city of Busan, according to local health authorities on Wednesday. 

The authorities said the infections include 43 patients of the Busan nursing hospital and nine staff members, adding that one of the infected patients has already died.

South Korea on Wednesday reported 84 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of infections to 24,889 in the country, according to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA).

KDCA said about 160,000 patients and people working at nursing facilities and mental institutions in the greater Seoul area will undergo COVID-19 tests due to the COVID-19 cluster in Busan.
