Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered an important speech at a grand gathering in the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in south China's Guangdong Province. The event was held to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Shenzhen SEZ, the first of its kind in China. Xi said that China must deepen reform and opening-up to keep pace with the times. The country, he added, will continue to protect entrepreneurs' legitimate rights, including intellectual property, to motivate them to start new businesses.
