E China's Qingdao health officials suspended, removed from posts

Sui Zhenhua, head of the health commission in Qingdao City, east China's Shandong Province, was suspended from his job on Wednesday, according to the local government.

Deng Kai, dean of Qingdao Chest Hospital, was removed from his post on Friday.

Qingdao reported six new confirmed cases and six new asymptomatic cases of COVID-19 on Sunday. The cases were linked with Qingdao Chest Hospital, which had been used to treat imported COVID-19 patients.

By Thursday, Qingdao has completed nucleic acid testing and sampling for more than 2 million people after new cases were reported.
