In March 2018, Luo Daihuan was appointed as the first Party secretary of Xin'an Village, Luocheng Mulao Autonomous County, an impoverished area in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Upon arrival, Luo visited every household in the village and modeled a strategy based on existing problems, applying a step-by-step approach for its implementation. He recalls how the job of lifting people out of poverty improved his personality.
