China's renewing its 2030 NDCs (Nationally Determined Contributions), promising to reach carbon neutrality by 2060. The latest report released by Tsinghua University indicates that China's CO2 emission will peak in 2030. In an exclusive interview, Xie Zhenhua, president of the Institute of Climate Change and Sustainable Development of Tsinghua University, stresses that China has provided a clear roadmap to achieve its NDCs in spite of the great difficulty that the country faces.
