Live commerce has never been as popular in China as it is now, as the combination of livestreaming fused with e-commerce is paving the way for the future of selling and buying. There are superstars like Weiya and Li Jiaqi, selling cosmetics and fashion outfits on major platforms such as Taobao. However, local streamers also broadcast from farms to sell agricultural products, making sure farmers enjoy the benefit of e-commerce as much as urban dwellers. CGTN's Yang Xinmeng is in Santai County of southwest China's Sichuan Province, where she catches up with one couple whose lives are being changed thanks to the live commerce.
