The China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF) has become a showcase of the state-of-the-art medical equipment and the country's advanced technologies and huge market potential. First launched in 1979, the CMEF is held twice a year, in spring and autumn.

More than 10,000 products and services covering areas such as medical imaging, medical examination and in-vitro diagnostics are on display at the fair. In addition, many high-end medical devices are making their debut. 

As the market and technologies develop, China-made medical equipment is being exported to many parts of the world besides replacing the imported ones in the country.
