Czech Deputy Prime Minister Jan Hamacek, who is also the country's interior minister, on Wednesday said he has tested positive for COVID-19.
Hamacek said he is staying at home in isolation and will continue to carry out work online.
Hamacek, 41, is chief of the Social Democratic Party, a junior partner in the ruling coalition and head of the crisis committee coordinating logistical efforts to counter the pandemic.
