For the 70th anniversary of China's joining the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea, China will hold a commemoration event in Beijing on Friday, with President Xi Jinping delivering a speech at the Great Hall of the People. This year, Chinese authorities have awarded commemorative medals to the volunteer soldiers that are still living in honor of their contributions in the War. CGTN talked to Yang Xiyu, Senior Fellow at the China Institute of International Studies and a Korean Peninsula expert.
