The Day of the Dead, which usually falls on November 1 and 2, is celebrated throughout Latin America to honor the dead. Families gather on the day to pay tribute to their deceased relatives and present them with offerings, including candles and flowers, especially cempazuchitl flowers. /CFP

Cempazuchitl flowers, also known as Mexican marigolds, are bright orange or yellow in color with a very distinct scent. It is believed that the strong aroma of the flowers will help to guide the way home for the spirits during this time. /CFP
