Turpan is well known for sweet grapes, while the Grape Valley is the most iconic grape origin in the region.
The Grape Valley is located in northeast Turpan City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, some 10 kilometers away from the urban area. To the west of the Flaming Mountain, the valley runs eight kilometers long and spans 0.6-2 kilometers wide.
While the west side of the valley faces cliffs, a forest of intertwined grapevines can be found inside the valley.
