China has been the largest source of international students in the U.S. for a decade. However, now, they are afraid of studying there, due to rising Sinophobia and a series of restrictions. Chinese students and nationals add value to U.S. research capabilities and tech, but current policies stifle innovation. China-U.S. cooperation should be encouraged to help overcome COVID19.
