Praised by artists and writers, the cotton rose is one of the most famous flowers endemic to China. It is not only known for its beautiful petals, but also for its special ability to change color.

The cotton rose, also known as the confederate rose, produces remarkable single or double flowers with colors include white or light pink. Usually, the flower emerges in the morning and changes into hot pink in the afternoon, then possibly red by the evening. All these colors can be presented at the same time, hence a beautiful multi-colored affect. Originating in central China's Hunan Province, the flower is now widely cultivated in Asian countries for ornamental purposes.

Growing a cotton rose is not difficult at all. Low maintenance and care are needed for the plant to produce large and showy flowers. Provide full sun or partial shade and well-drained soil with medium moisture to soon get these amazing color-changing floras blooming from August to October.
