Two-time heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury announced his return plan on Saturday: The 32-year-old will fight again in London on December 5, but his opponent remains unclear.

"I'd just like to announce I'm definitely fighting December 5 in London. Opponent to be announced very, very soon. Just working on some opponents. Let you all know who it's going to be shortly," said Fury in a video message.

It will be Fury's first fight in London since he beat Christian Hammer in 2015 and his first fight in Britain since he stopped Francesco Pianeta in Belfast in 2018.

There had been a fight scheduled between Fury and Deontay Wilder for December 19, which would have been the third showdown between the two. In February, Fury claimed the WBC belt off Wilder. However, according to The Athletic, Fury said he had "moved on" from facing Wilder again and would be "coming home" to fight.

Fury in June said he reached a two-fight deal with Anthony Joshua, who holds the other belts in the heavyweight division – WBA, WBO, and IBF. The first fight will reportedly happen in 2021. Before that, Joshua will need to defend his honors against Kubrat Pulev first at the O2 Arena in London on December 12. That fight was postponed from June because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Derek Chisora, who is about to fight Oleksandr Usyk, the WBO mandatory challenger for Joshua, also wants another showdown with Fury if he can knock down Usyk on October 31. Chisora already fought Fury twice and lost twice.

"I think it would be a great fight to have with 'The Gypsy King', because he's always promised me a third fight. He owes me anyway because we speak every day, and he owes me that fight. He's always saying he wants to give me another fight, so he's a man of his word, so that would be the fight I would like to have," said Chisora.
