The first urban equestrian trail opens to the public in Chaoyang District, Beijing. The Cuigezhuang County trail is about 4.37 kilometers and provided riding tours and many other entertainments.

Different from other trails in the wilderness, this is located in the northeast of the city.

Along the way, there are famous scenic spots such as Heli Habitat Wetland and Red Brick Art Museum. Not only is it a professional equestrian arena, but also provides riding, carriage driving and other services to the public.

Cuigezhuang County has a history of raising horses that dates back as early as the Liao (907-1125) and Jin (1115-1234) dynasties. In the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368), it became a place for the imperial court to train troops and keep horses.

Around 20 years ago, Cuigezhuang built the capital's first professional racecourse. The country aims to develop and, at the same time, preserve its horse related culture.

A second equestrian trail is already in the plans, according to officials.
