France to go back into nationwide lockdown amid COVID-19 surge
France will go back into a nationwide lockdown starting from Friday to try to contain the COVID-19 epidemic that is again threatening to spiral out of control, French President Emmanuel Macron said on Wednesday.
The country has reported over 1.2 million COVID-19 cases and 35,820 deaths so far.
