Peru extends state of emergency again to end of November

Peruvian President Martín Vizcarra on Wednesday announced the extension of the state of national emergency for 30 days until November 30 to avoid a second wave of COVID-19 infections.

To date, Peru, under the emergency state for seven-plus months, has reported more than 892,000 cases of COVID-19, with over 34,000 deaths.
