Vice chief of U.S. Space Operations tests positive for COVID-19

David D. Thompson, Vice Chief of the U.S. Space Operations, tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday, the U.S. Air Force said in a statement.

"Space Force Gen. David D. Thompson, Vice Chief of Space Operations, tested positive Oct. 28 for COVID-19. He took the test today after learning that a close family member, with whom he had contact, tested positive for the virus."

Thompson is in self-isolation and working remotely from home in accordance with the established COVID-19 policies, according to the statement.
