Kashgar Prefecture in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region reported 14 new COVID-19 cases as of 19:00 BJT on Thursday, local health authorities told the media.

The local health authorities said the second round of COVID-19 tests for all 4.74 million residents is underway.

China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region reported a total of 45 confirmed COVID-19 cases as of Thursday, and 137 asymptomatic COVID-19 cases, all from Kashgar's Shufu County.
