India continues fight against COVID-19, as cases continue to rise

India has one of the world’s highest COVID-19 caseloads with over 8 million people affected. Experts say a strict lockdown earlier in the year may have helped curb a rapid spread of the virus, however the untimely opening up of the economy has led to a spurt of cases.
