China's Xinjiang reports 13 new asymptomatic COVID-19 cases

Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region identified 13 new asymptomatic COVID-19 cases on Monday, local health authorities said in a press briefing.

All of the new cases were detected in Shufu County in south Xinjiang's Kashgar Prefecture.

As of 18:00 local time on Tuesday, there are 57 active confirmed cases and 236 asymptomatic cases in Kashgar. The prefecture launched a third round of free coronavirus nucleic acid testing on Sunday.
