Global death toll passes 1.2 million: Johns Hopkins University 

The COVID-19 death toll across the world passed 1.2 million on Monday, as 1,200,361 people have now died from the disease, according to the latest data from Johns Hopkins University.

The U.S. has the highest death toll with 230,995 deaths, followed by Brazil (160,074), and India (122,607).
