Reigning Chinese Super League champions Guangzhou Evergrande spearheaded into the final of the 2020 season on Monday night after defeating Beijing Guoan 3-1 in the second leg of the semifinals.

Brazilian duo Anderson Talisca and Paulinho contributed three goals altogether while Zhang Yuning netted the only goal for Guoan.

In the 37th minute, Fei Nanduo was charged down by Zhang in the box and Talisca netted the penalty kick to give Evergrande an early lead.

The defending champions built on that momentum in the 56th minute with a great move and Paulinho curled the ball into the top corner.

Zhang cushioned a volley into the net on Li Lei's cross later to hold the game 1-2 but Guangzhou sealed the victory after substitute Huang Bowen squared for Paulinho to drill home.

As their opening leg ended with a 0-0 stalemate, Evergrande advanced into the final 3-1 on aggregate where they will face off Jiangsu Suning for the championship.
