- Joe Biden is projected by multiple U.S. media outlets to be the winner of the 2020 presidential election.

- He has claimed over 270 electoral votes but incumbent President Donald Trump refused to concede defeat, claiming vote fraud.

- Biden on Tuesday called Trump's refusal an "embarrassment," adding the transition was well underway nonetheless. 

- After claiming victory, Biden announced the formation of the Transition COVID-19 Advisory Board.

- He also took separate congratulatory calls from leaders of France, Germany, Ireland and the UK.
