COVID-19 situation in Hong Kong stabilizes: Carrie Lam
Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Carrie Lam on Tuesday announced that the COVID-19 situation in Hong Kong has stabilized.
She made the remarks at a news conference while urging local residents to continue "social distancing measures", which will be extended on Thursday for another week, Lam said.
COVID-19 testing will be expanded in the region, Lam said, adding that from next week, the HKSAR government will test staff members at kindergartens, primary schools and high schools.
As of Tuesday, Hong Kong has reported a total of 5,336 confirmed cases and 105 deaths.
