U.S. President Donald Trump suggested to a Florida crowd on November 2 that he would fire Dr. Anthony Fauci, the top infectious diseases expert in the U.S., after the election. Infectious diseases specialist Dr. John Swartzberg responded to Trump's statement by saying that Dr. Fauci is "the most trusted voice to the public."
