Democrat Joe Biden is leading with 131 electoral votes, while incumbent President Donald Trump is at 92, according to AP.
A U.S. presidential candidate requires 270 electoral votes to win the White House.
The first results are trickling in, with wins for Trump so far in 14 states including Indiana, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Tennessee and West Virginia.
Biden has racked up 13 states including New York, Connecticut, his home state Delaware, along with D.C.
