Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto tested positive for COVID-19, local media reported on Wednesday, adding that the minister, who is on an official visit to Thailand, has no symptoms.

Szijjarto remained in a Bangkok hospital in accordance with Thai regulations for pandemic, but because he has no symptoms, negotiations are underway for him to return to Hungary, said Mate Paczolay, a spokesman for Hungary's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economy.
