Chinese President Xi Jinping earlier this year called for a national effort to develop a new economic pattern in China known as "dual circulation" – domestic and international circulation, complementing each other, with domestic circulation as the main body. And the China International Import Expo (CIIE) is a significant platform for China to achieve that new development pattern, according to Jimmy Zhu, chief strategist at Fullerton Research.
